Dear Aflac,
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2015, I was devastated! Surgeries, multiple doctor visits, chemotherapy, radiation, scans, X-rays, volumes of lab work, pathology reports – it was all so frightening and overwhelming and expensive. In the midst of my storm, there was my Aflac agent, Dawny Ginter ("the Aflac lady" as the guys in our office call her), with a stuffed Aflac Duck wearing a pink ribbon, a hug and some guidance on filling out claim forms.
I signed up for online access to my Aflac insurance policies, followed the easy directions and registered for direct deposit right there on the website. I uploaded the required documents, and literally the next day, my benefit check was in my account. The next day! The website is simple to navigate, documents are easy to upload and payment is very quick. My Aflac benefits helped with deductibles, copays, prescriptions and countless other items.
Cancer patients need support in ways that one could never imagine. My experience with Aflac has given me just that – help with mounting medical bills and support from a special lady that I can call a friend.
Today, I am a two-year cancer survivor! Thank you, Aflac. And a special thank you to Dawny for being such a positive part of my journey.
